Main components of measuring cups

Dec 17, 2024

The main components of measuring cups include polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Both materials have excellent chemical stability and wear resistance and are widely used in food packaging and container manufacturing. Polyethylene measuring cups are lightweight and affordable, suitable for general measurement needs, but sensitive to high temperature environments; polypropylene measuring cups are resistant to high temperatures and suitable for high temperature environments such as microwave ovens, but are more expensive.

In addition, laboratory measuring cups are also made of glass and polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA). Glass measuring cups have high transparency and clear scales, but are easily affected by strong acids and alkalis and high and low temperatures; PFA measuring cups have stronger chemical tolerance, can withstand strong acids and alkalis and high and low temperatures, and are suitable for extreme experimental environments.
