Around 65℃
The heat-resistant temperature range of PET plastic cups is around 65℃. When it exceeds 70℃, it is easy to deform and may release harmful substances. PET plastic cups will deform, soften or even melt at high temperatures, so they are not suitable for holding boiling water or other high-temperature liquids for a long time.
In order to extend the service life of PET plastic cups, it is recommended to avoid long-term contact with high-temperature liquids, choose liquids with lower temperatures and drink them as soon as possible. In addition, do not heat PET plastic cups in microwave ovens or ovens to avoid cracking or deformation due to uneven heating. Regular replacement of water cups is also an important measure to ensure safety of use.
In addition to PET, there are other plastic water cups available on the market. For example, PP (polypropylene) material has high heat resistance and chemical resistance, can withstand temperatures up to 120℃, and is suitable for hot water. PPSU (polyphenylene sulfide) material has excellent high-temperature resistance, with a temperature range of -40℃ to 180℃, and is the preferred material for milk bottles for many mothers. Choosing these high-temperature resistant and non-toxic plastic water cups can better ensure drinking water safety.
